Nicola (Nick) Del Bene, 88, of Yonkers passed away on Saturday August 30th 2014. Nicola was born in Palena, Italy on August 9, 1926. He was the son of the late Gennaro and Giuseppina Del Bene. He came to the United States in 1956 and he was employed by the Metropolitan Tobacco Company until his retirement in 1988. He is survived by his wife Maria (Parente) of 59 years and two sons : Anthony and his wife Angela(Capobianco), Jerry and his wife Sonia (Canaletich). He was the beloved grandfather of Victor, Andrea and Michael Del Bene. He was the dear brother to Maria (Vittoria) , Nina (Campana), Gina (Vittoria) and his sister- in- law Mary DelBene. He was predeceased by his brother Vincent Del Bene. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Yonkers Avenue on Tuesday September 2nd. Visiting hours 4 pm to 8 pm. He will have a mass of Christian burial at Christ the King Church on September 3rd at 10AM. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York.
