Anthony Mangone passed away suddenly on January 26, 2016 at the age of 48. He was born on August 31, 1967. Anthony was hired as a Yonkers Firefighter on November 7, 1994. He was promoted to Lieutenant on January 30, 2012. For many years, Anthony worked in Ladder 71 and most recently was assigned to Special Operations. He was a Master Mason, King Hiram 12 in Shelton, CT. Anthony proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was very active in the community and charities. Anthony is survived by his loving daughter Alexa McRedmond (Baby Bear), father Edward Mangone, sister Judith Rajcok and her husband John, nieces Julia and Jordan Rajcok, sister Daphne Catalano and her children Joseph, Robert and Michael Catalano. Also, survived by his Aunt Theresa Reitano. Anthony is predeceased by his mother Catherine (Reitano) Mangone. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 2 PM to 8 PM at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10:30 AM, at St. John the Baptist Church, 670 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. Interment is Private.
