Obituary of Margaret M. Serino

Margaret M.Serino died peacefully on August 14, 2016 at the age of 88. She was born on August 8, 1928 to the late Roger and Anna Chiascione. A lifelong Yonkers resident, Margaret married Daniel Serino, who predeceased her in 2004 . Margaret graduated from Yonkers High School in 1945 and attended Pace Secretarial School. She worked at Parent's Magazine for six years and in later years as a secretary for the Yonkers School District. She enjoyed reading and playing tennis at the Racquet Club. Her greatest joy in life was the love she had for her family, especially the strong bond she had with her sisters, Marie, Anne and Regina. Margaret is survived by her beloved children Daniel (Christine), Marguerite, Marie (Jay) Hvisc, and Frank (Ellen). She was very proud of her eight grandchildren who loved their "Ummy", Nicole (Joseph) Collins, Dana and Daniel Serino III, Amanda, Frank and Jonathan Serino, Brian (Erika) and Vincent Napoletano. She was blessed with great grandchildren Dylan, Brady, Luke and Daniel. She is also survived by her sisters Anne Talone and Regina Ciriello, and brother Thomas Chiascione. She was predeceased by her brother Dr. Stephen Chiascione and sister Marie. Family and friends can call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony's Church (Nepera Park), Yonkers Thursday 10am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
