It is with great sadness that the DeMatteis Family announces the passing of Danielle DeMatteis, daughter of Donato and Eleanor DeMatteis. Danielle passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016. She was 49 years old. Danielle was a graduate of St. John's University. Her passion for politics fueled an outstanding career in public service. She worked as Deputy Press Secretary for the Mayor of Yonkers as well as Program Manager, Workforce Development, for the Yonkers Chamber of Commerce. She worked passionately as Program Manager for Westchester County Association's Jobs Waiting Program.She was respected and admired by her colleagues, and was honored by Women of Excellence. In her private life, Danielle was devoted to her parents all of her life and was loved by her family and friends who survive her. May she rest in peace in heaven along-side her parents whom she loved dearly. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 4 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 (time to be announced) at St. Eugene's Church. Interment to follow Kensico Cemetery.
