Rachael Nancy (Paolicelli) "Kelly", died on October 10, 2016 at St. John's Hospital with her family at her side. She was born in Yonkers on October 9, 1919 to Giuseppe and Antoinette Sorrano Paolicelli. She attended Yonkers schools and was a homemaker. Her years were spent as a loving caretaker for her parents and many of her nieces and nephews. She married Camillo De Benedetto on February 3, 1946 and was predeceased by him on August 7, 1971. She is survived by her children, Joanne Mazzei, Michael (Rosemary) De Benedetto and Leonora De Benedetto, her grandsons Frank (Jen) and Stephen (Morgan) Mazzei and four great grandchildren, Frank, Stephanie, Christine and Joseph, sisters-in-law Helen, Mary and Rose, and numerous nieces and nephews, Angela Rapp and Phyllis Richter with whom Aunt Rae and Joanne lived. She was predeceased by her son, Savino (Sam), her sister Lucy Alaimo, and brothers, Frank, Nicholas, Anthony, Emanuel and Norman Paolicelli. Friends and family will honor the life of Kelly on Thursday from 4-9PM at the Hastings Funeral Home, 15 Spring St. Funeral mass at St. Matthew Church on Friday at 10:00AM followed by interment at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society .
