Please share a memory of Lorraine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lorraine Marie Vartuli of Mount Kisco passed away on January 30, 2017, after a long illness. Lorraine was born July 21, 1929, in Burlington, Vermont, a daughter of John and Cecile Desany Courville. She is survived by her devoted husband, Dominic. She is also survived by her children, Carol Vartuli (Robert Marin), David Vartuli, Nancy Jones and Katherine Vartuli. Lorraine was very proud of her seven grandchildren: Kenton Gomez, Christopher Gomez, Jack Jones, Nevada Jones, Rebecca Vartuli, Jake Vartuli and Joseph Vartuli, as well as her five great grandchildren, Isabella Gomez, Lily Gomez, Jordan Jones, Izabella Jones, and Brooke Jones. Lorraine was a vibrant, hard-working woman who excelled in everything she attempted. Her varied careers included managing insurance sales teams and counseling special children. Her avocations were likewise plentiful—from knitting and rug hooking, to flower arrangement and stained glass. Friends and family may call at The Oelker-Cox and Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main Street on Monday 9:00-11:00AM. Funeral mass will follow at 11:30 AM, St. Francis of Assisi Church. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
