Mary Sarubbi Maratto, age 94, died on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Mary was born Domenica Maria on December 29, 1922. The daughter of James V. and Jennie (Cosentino) Sarubbi of Yonkers, NY. Mary is predeceased by her loving husband Sam, sister Nellie Gentile and brothers Joseph and Peter Sarubbi.
Mary lived a good life and was loved and admired by all who knew her. Mary married her one true love, Sam Maratto on April 8, 1945. Sam lovingly referred to her as "Red," due to the beautiful color of her hair. Together they operated Westchester View Farm, in Ardsley and raised their two boys in Yonkers.
Mary loved working with numbers and cultivated a career in accounting and taxes. She worked in this field for over 50 years.
Mary is survived by her sons Sam (Terry) and Michael (Valerie), 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her sister Florence Loia and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Olga Caballero for the care, compassion and friendship she gave to Mary. Her kindness and dedication will never be forgotten.
Visitation is private. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Park Hill Ave., Yonkers, NY., July 20, 2017 at 11 am.
