George A. Bunzel, a longtime Yonkers resident died peacefully on July 24, 2017 at Calvary Hospital at the age of 77. George served in the U. S. Army Security Agency for two years and then worked as a prison guard at Sing Sing Prison for two years until joining the N.Y.P.D. in 1966. He retired in 1989 as a sergeant from the 46th precinct. Beloved husband of 46 years to Nina (Paganelli) Bunzel. Devoted brother of Irene Reynolds and Richard and Christian Bunzel. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. on Thursday from 2-7PM. where a funeral service will take place on Friday at 10:30AM. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
