Joseph P. Dentato, age 96, of Yonkers died Thursday, January 11, 2018. Joseph was born January 25, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA the son of the late John and Carrie (Marino) Dentato. John served his country in the US Coast Guard from 1942 to 1946 during World War II. After the war Joe was employed with the NYFD. Beloved husband of the late Olga. Loving father of Carrie Dentato and Steven (Joan) Dentato. Cherished grandfather of Lisa Saciolo, Tara Miller and great grandfather of Luciano Saciolo. Joseph is also survived by his brother John Dentato and pre-deceased by his siblings: Peter, Nicholas, Leonard, Mary and Rosa. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2PM to 4PM & 7PM to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 499 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral mass will be Wednesday at 10:45 at St. Barnabas Church, 409 E. 241st Street, Bronx. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Yonkers. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital in his name.
