Josephine Caruso 94, of Yonkers, N.Y. passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2018. She was born on June 7,1923 to the late Vito and Grace Lavallata in Bronx, N.Y. Josephine was predeceased by her husband Vincent (Jim) Caruso in November 2014. She is survived by her loving children, Thomas (Domenica) Caruso of Hawthorne, N.Y., James (Maria Christopher) Caruso of Haddonfield, N.J. and Lorraine Caruso of Yonkers, N.Y. Her five cherished grandchildren, Joanne (CJ), Thomas (Jaime), Michael, Luca and Pilar; and two precious great-grandchildren, Natalie and Leo. She is also survived by her brother Michael Lavallato. Josephine loved her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with them and enjoyed baking her favorite cookies. She was an active volunteer at St. Anthony's Parish (Altar Society, Sprain Brook Manor Nursing Home). She was an avid Villanova Wildcat basketball fan. Josephine was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Reposing, Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY on Thursday 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, St. Anthony's Church, (Nepera Park) Yonkers, N.Y. on Friday, 9:45 AM. Entombment, Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, N.Y.
