Sabbatino L "Sam" Delango, a longtime Yonkers resident was born on January 2, 1926 and was called home to God on January 16, 2018. Sam served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a disabled veteran. He spent his life serving the Lord and his family. Beloved husband of Marie Delango. Devoted father of Louis (Ellen) Delango, Deborah (Bill) Cooper, Richard (Hillary) Delango, Denis (Joan) Delango and Sabbatino (Laura) Delango Jr. Loving Brother of Mary Delango, Veronica Hash, Terry Schmelter and the late Joseph Delango, Ann Torelli and Lucy Harmony. He will be truly missed by his eleven grandchildren and now joins his granddaughter, Danielle who predeceased him. Sam was the best "GGP" to fifteen great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers Ave on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9PM. Funeral mass at St. Ann Church on Friday at 10AM. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Jansen Hospice preferred.
