Frederick A Morrissey, age 99, of Danbury, CT formerly of Hastings-on-Hudson died Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Mr. Morrissey was born March 31, 1910 in Yonkers, NY the son of the late James A and Edith (Munson) Morrissey. He served in the Navy from 1943 to 1945 during World War II serving in the South Pacific and teaching Radar School in San Diego. Frederick was a graduate of Columbia University. He was employed by Kunder Advertising Agency in NYC as an executive. Beloved husband of the late Helen D. Morrissey. Loving father of Patricia A. Sweeney, Frederick J. Morrissey and Kevin M. Morrissey. Dear grandfather of Frederick S. Morrissey, Kate Sweeney, Kevin Morrissey, Jr. and Brian Morrissey. Friends may call on Wednesday from 7PM to 9PM at Hastings Funeral Home, Inc., 15 Spring Street, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. The funeral will be Thursday at 10:00 at St. Matthews Church, 616 Warburton Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson. Interment will be in Ferncliff Cemetery.
