Sandra De Santis, caring wife, loving mother, and beloved grandmother and

great-grandmother, passed away in the presence of her family on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. She was 89.

Sandra was born in Soveria Simeri, Calabria, Italy, on December 29, 1932, to Gaetano and Maria Amelio Colicchia. In 1955 she married Tommaso De Santis.

Together with their children they courageously embarked on a new journey to the United States of America in 1970.

With devotion to both faith and family, Sandra helped sow the seeds of care, love, respect, and compassion that grew and will continue to thrive within each new generation of her loved ones. Cooking delicious meals and time spent with family around Sandra's table on birthdays, holidays, Sunday afternoons, or other special occasions were always her most joyful and cherished moments.

Sandra is survived by her beloved husband Tommaso De Santis of Yonkers and three devoted children, Frank De Santis and wife Gabriela of San Diego CA;

Gaetano De Santis and wife Marianna of Yonkers and Anna Maria Taormina and husband Mario of Yonkers. Her sister, Assunta Esposito, carries on her love to the rest of the family residing in Italy.

Her legacy is carried on by her 12 grandchildren; Thomas and wife Ashley, Frank Jr., Manuel and wife Liliana, and Francesca De Santis of California; Sandra and Frank De Santis of Yonkers; and Gaetano, Marco, GianCarlo and Rosa Taormina of Yonkers. She was also blessed with four great grandchildren; Joseph, Victoria, Isaiah and Manuel Jr..

Visiting hours are Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Sinatra Memorial Home, 499 Yonkers, Ave., Yonkers, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, December 23, 2022, 10:00am at St. Bartholomew's Church, 15 Palmer Rd., Yonkers, NY. Entombment to follow
