Obituary of Barbara J. DeLasho

Please share a memory of Barbara to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Barbara Joan DeLasho (Anthony), 91, of Yonkers, New York, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025. Barbara was born on August 31, 1933, to Grace and Joseph Anthony in Bronxville, New York. After graduating from Tuckahoe High School, she began her career as a beautician and owned her own successful salon.

In 1957, Barbara married Joseph J. DeLasho at Church of the Assumption in Tuckahoe, New York. He predeceased her in 1996. Barbara is survived by her children, Kenneth DeLasho, Joan Lloyd, and Joseph DeLasho; her grandchildren, Joseph DeLasho, Nicole DeLasho, Cody DeLasho, and Carson DeLasho; and her brother, Richard Anthony.

Barbara spent her time traveling, cooking, bowling, playing marbles, and going to the casino, or even the racetrack now and then. Barbara had a passion for gardening, and her perfectly manicured lawn made her house the envy of the neighborhood. Most of all, Barbara enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was the heart and soul of her family, and she will be remembered for her love, generosity, and straight forward personality.
