Lily Hasso Khader
March 21, 1945 – February 12, 2025
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lily Hasso Khader, who was called to eternal rest on February 12, 2025, at 1:51 AM.
Lily was born on March 21, 1945, in Jordan. In 1963, she married her devoted husband, Eid Khader, and together they immigrated to the United States, making Yonkers, New York, their home. She dedicated her life to her family and her Catholic faith, always leading with love, kindness, and unwavering devotion.
Lily was a cherished mother to her seven children: John Khader (Maha) , Issa Khader, (Ana ) Mike Khader (Rana), Adele Khader, (Suleiman) Jeannette Shleiwet (Nabeel) , Nancy Maldonado (Fredy), and Lauren Khader. She was a beloved grandmother to 24 grandchildren, a great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren, and a treasured relative to many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Lily had a deep love for cooking and preparing meals for her children and grandchildren. She found joy in shopping and spending time with her family, always making sure her loved ones were cared for. Her kindness, warmth, and generosity will never be forgotten.
She worked for many years at Frances Schervier Nursing Home in Riverdale, New York, before retiring. Prior to that, she was employed at The Convent of Mary the Queen on Park Street in Yonkers, where she cared for others with the same compassion and dedication she showed her own family.
Lily’s legacy of faith, strength, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She has now found peace in the arms of our Lord, resting in His heavenly kingdom.
Rest in peace, our beautiful angel mother. Your love and sacrifice will never be forgotten, and we will continue to honor you always.
