Lourdes Soto, una devota y amorosa esposa, pareja, madre, hermana, abuela, bisabuela y amiga, falleció pacíficamente el sábado 22 de marzo de 2025, rodeada de su familia cercana.
Nacida en Bani, República Dominicana, y criada en Santo Domingo, Lourdes dedicó su vida al cuidado de sus seres queridos. Migró a los Estados Unidos en busca de mejores oportunidades, donde trabajó como costurera, construyendo un legado para sus hijos.
Lourdes se reúne ahora con su difunto esposo, Miguel Castro, su madre, Violeta Maria Benthancourt, su padre, José A. Soto Guerrero, y sus cuatro hermanos y tres hermanas. Le sobrevive su pareja, Otilio Ponce De Leon, quien la amó y cuidó profundamente por más de 25 años. Juntos, tuvieron tres hijos, José, Heriberto Fernando Castro, y su hija Daysi Castro, que han dado a Lourdes más de 10 nietos y más de 10 bisnietos.

Lourdes Soto, a devoted and loving wife, partner, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025, surrounded by her close family.
Born in Bani, Dominican Republic, and raised in Santo Domingo, Lourdes dedicated her life to caring for her loved ones. She migrated to the United States in search of better opportunities, where she worked as a seamstress, building a legacy for her children.
Lourdes is now reunited with her late husband, Miguel Castro, her mother, Violeta Maria Benthancourt, her father, Jose A. Soto Guerrero, and her four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her partner, Otilio Ponce De Leon, who loved and cared for her deeply for over 25 years. Together, they had three sons, Jose, Heriberto Fernando Castro, and daughter Daysi Castro, who have given Lourdes more than 10 grandchildren and over 10 great-grandchildren.
