Ludis Maria DeVoz de Mejia passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025. She was 76 years old.

Ludis is survived by her husband, Anibal, and her three sons and their spouses; Jimmy and Sandra, Anibal and Patricia, and Roland and Elda.

Ludis lived a fulfilling life surrounded by her many grandchildren, Steven, Jaylene, Jean, Nathan, Jenna, Maria Isabel, Regina, Jessie, Bryan, and Valerie who she spent many years spoiling and loving.

Ludis was a devout Catholic who loved the Lord and demonstrated that love through her participation at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Yonkers. Her devotion to Christ inspired her to help and give to others. She would buy toys and make care packages to hand out to the less fortunate children and individuals in her hometown in Colombia. She is known by many for her selflessness and love for all of God's children.

She worked at ShopRite where she made many friends throughout the years. Ludis will be returning home as she wished for burial in her native Colombia to be near her beloved brothers and sisters and extended family.
