It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother and grandmother, Antoinette Perri Whalen, who passed peacefully at Northern Westchester Hospital located in Mount Kisco, New York, the morning of April 7, 2025.
Antoinette was born in Mount Kisco on July 29, 1940 to Joseph and Mary Perri the youngest of four sisters, Rose, Nancy, Angie and Jenny. The only surviving sister is her oldest sister Rose, who is currently residing in Florida, who shared many fond memories of caring for our mother as a baby.
Antoinette and her late husband James "Jimmy" Whalen were lifetime residents of Mount Kisco. Antoinette held a master's degree in teaching from SUNY Platsburgh and taught first grade at Kent Elementary School located in Putnam County, New York for over 30years.
Antoinette was an avid New York Yankee fan who shared countless baseball games with her best friend and countless other friends over the years always bragging of the royal treatment they would receive from the stadium staff.
Attoniette was a long time member of the Independent Fire Company and Moses Taylor Jr. American Legion Post 136 women's auxiliary.
Antoinette is survived by her sons James Jr. and Joseph (J.C.) daughter in-laws Rebecca and Rona as well as ten grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews and a wide circle of other relatives and friends who will truly miss her dearly.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation at the Oelker Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home located at 262 East Main Street, Mount Kisco, New York. Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
A funeral service will be held at Saint Francis Roman Catholic Church in Mount Kisco, New York, on Friday April 11, 2025 at 10:00am.
Antoinette will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Kisco, New York.
