Please share a memory of Hanna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sorrow and great love that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Hanna Jiryes Mourad, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, April 11, 2025.
He is survived by his loving wife, Laure Mourad, and his devoted children: Georges Mourad, husband of Rosemarie; Hala, wife of George Helewa; Roula, wife of Rami Danial; Raymonda Mourad; and Nadine, wife of Wissam Mounayar.
Hanna was a proud and cherished grandfather to Zaki, Laura, Jimmy Helewa, Reem Danial, Johnny, Anthony, Christian Danial, Katherine, Amani, Eliani Mourad, Allegra, and Elon Mounayar, and a beloved great-grandfather to Iyla Helewa.
He is also lovingly remembered by his sisters Saide Bassil, Souhaila Saad, Hayet Rahmeh, and Laila Alalam, along with their families, and by the families of his late sister Linda Masoud and his late brother Yousef Mrad.
Born and raised as a farmer in the hills of Lebanon, Hanna lived a life marked by humility, strength, and an endless capacity for love. As a farmer, he not only provided for his own family, but also to sustain communities across Lebanon with the fruits of his labor. Through his devotion to the land and to others, he became a pillar of strength far beyond his own household. With hands that worked the land and a heart that held his family together, he built a legacy rooted in faith, humor, and generosity
Hanna was a man of contagious joy, with a smile that lit up every room and a sense of humor that left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His laughter was healing, his presence comforting, and his heart truly golden. He was the man of the whole family, the one we all leaned on, who showed us what real strength looks like, and who loved us all deeply and unconditionally. He was our peacemaker, our rock, and our guiding light.
His greatest joy was his family. He poured his heart into every generation, and in return, his legacy will live on through each of them. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his impact immeasurable.
