Please share a memory of Maura to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Mary “Maura” Ferguson, who left us peacefully on the morning of April 23, 2025, at the incredible age of 96.
Born in 1928 in Stranorlar, Donegal, Ireland, daughter of Isobel and Patrick O'Donnell. She was the oldest of seven children. Maura lived a life full of grace, resilience, and boundless love and energy. Known to many as Mrs. Ferguson, and to her family simply as “Granny,” she was a woman of incomparable strength and warmth. Her one of a kind personality made sure every occasion was memorable.
Maura was an incredibly proud Irish woman, offering strength through life’s challenges and unconditional love through every season. She shared a special bond with all of her children and grandchildren who all described her not only as a mother and grandmother but as a friend and fierce protector. Her love reached into the next generation as well, embracing her great-grandchildren with the same unwavering affection.
Maura is survived by her loving children: Marie, John, and Isabelle, and is now reunited with her late son, Brian. She also leaves behind her devoted sons-in-law's Steve and Bill, her daughter in-law Karen and her cherished grandchildren; Scott (Sunny), April, Don (deceased), Christopher (Erika), John, Keri (Shawn), Travis (Mackenzie), Chara (Adam), and Lauren (David). She will forever be missed by her great grandchildren; Gabe, Carlie, Sam, Adison, Avery, Leni, Ella, Nic, Elizabeth, James, Emilia, Thomas, Emily, Mia, Mark, and Leo. She was a devoted friend to many in all phases of life. Her legacy continues in the lives of all who knew her as well as with her sisters, nieces, and nephews in Ireland. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
