Carmela M. Circosta Obituary

Carmela Circosta (née Frasca'), affectionately known as Melina, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025, surrounded by the boundless love and care of her devoted children.

Born on July 24, 1952, in Martone, Reggio Calabria, Italy, Carmela married the love of her life, Renato, on November 15, 1970. The couple came to New York for their honeymoon and, captivated by the opportunities before them, made it their permanent home.

A talented seamstress and tireless worker, Carmela, alongside Renato, built a beautiful life rooted in hard work, love, and faith. Their journey together was a testament to the American Dream—achieved not through ease, but through resilience, perseverance, and deep devotion to each other and their family. Their strong Catholic faith and enduring values were instilled in their children, whose successes brought them immense pride.

Carmela was a woman of unwavering faith and boundless love. Her days were guided by prayer, her hands always busy caring for others, and her heart open to all who needed her. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, where traditions were shared and memories made. She taught us the true meaning of kindness, sacrifice, and faith.

Her legacy lives on in every prayer whispered, every recipe passed down, and every act of love she inspired.

Carmela was predeceased by her beloved parents, Immaculata and Luigi, her sisters Giuseppina and Rosa, and her brothers Antonio and Giorgio.

She is survived by her cherished children, Laura (Christian) and Gabriella (Bill); her loving brothers Michelangelo, Natale (Rita), and Giorgio (Concetta); and her treasured grandchildren, William, Gianna, Giorgia, James, and Stefania.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love she gave, the faith she lived by, and the strength she carried in every step.
