Bienvenida Torres, Age 75, of Danbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 9, 1949, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. In 1980, she moved to the United States, where she made a home for the past 45 years.

Bienvenida will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the deep love she had for her family. Her home was a place of joy, filled with laughter, home-cooked meals, and unforgettable memories—especially during the holidays. She loved cooking, going for walks, and spending time with her children, grandchildren—including those who, over time, became like family.

Bienvenida held a special place in her heart for all the kids from Woodworth Avenue—now grown men. Every time someone mentioned "Woodworth," her face would light up as she reminisced about those times: the joking around, the laughter, and all the food shared at her table. She never forgot you—and she loved you like her own.

She is survived by her children: Cecilia, Rondell (Jessica), Blanca, German, and Xiomara. She is now reunited in peace with her beloved son, Danny, her daughter, Lourdes and her grandson Daniel. Bienvenida also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended relatives, and dear friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Sinatra Funeral Home, 310 South Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10705.
