With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother & grandmother, Gladys Negron, who passed away on 6/9/2025 at the age of 87. 

Born on October 11, 1937 in Puerto Rico. Gladys lived a life full of love, resilience, and quiet strength. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Sebastian Negrón, and carried his memory with grace and dignity throughout her life. Above all, she was the heart of our family — the one who held us together with unconditional love and steady presence.

She is survived by her children, Maggie and Peter Zabel and Priscilla and David Spohr, and her grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Danny, and Pauly, who will forever cherish the memories, stories, and values she passed down.

She loved cooking, music, and being with her family she was known for her laughter, beautiful singing voice, and being the best chef. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, heard, and loved.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, 6/14/2025 at Sinatra Memorial Home (499 Yonkers Ave) from12-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to American Heart Association, in her honor.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the family she nurtured, and the love she gave so freely.
