I have so many fond memories of Al.
We lived across the street from each other in the Bronx for many years. To say Al was the life of the party is an understatement. He had that infectious smile, and always found a way to make everyone laugh.
One quick story that will forever remind me of Al: Spaghetti Aglio e Olio.
My Mother made an amazing Aglio e Olio, and Al would always remind her to invite him over whenever she was cooking that dish, because he said it was his favorite, and hers was the best he ever had. To this day, I have always, and will always, think of big Al whenever I have Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, which also happens to be one of my favorite pasta dishes as well.
Rest in Peace my friend.
The Family you and Carol created are a beautiful legacy to be proud of.
