Joan Viggiano, age 91, of Mahopac died Saturday, July 5, 2025. Joan was born June 22, 1934 in Yonkers, NY., the daughter of the late Michael and Jean (Kumanga) Gurka. She attended Commerce High School and worked for many Law Offices as a Bookkeeper. Jean loved to travel, knit, crochet and was an avid reader. Beloved wife of the late Patsy Viggiano, she is survived by her loving children, Pasquale (Catherine) Viggiano and Antoinette (James) Roche. Dear sister of Linda Esper of Florida. Cherished grandmother of J.J, Joey, Gina, Christian and Nicholas and great grandmother of Emily Grace, James Michael III Roche and Joseph Anthony Roche Jr.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, parents and siblings: Josephine DiPasquale, Barbara Tighe, Edward Gurka and Donald Gurka and a niece Jeannine Berry.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 3PM to 7PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 499 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 at Sacred Heart Monastery Church, 110 Shonnard Place, Yonkers. Interment will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Putnam Valley.
