Helen Carnicelli(Scaramuzzo), a lifelong resident of Yonkers, NY, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on December 17, 1928, in Yonkers, Helen was a woman of great strength, deep devotion to her family, and an unwavering work ethic. In 1948, she married the love of her life, Ralph Carnicelli, her late husband, with whom she shared 61 wonderful years until his passing in 2009. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and legacy. Helen was a pioneering businesswoman who owned and operated a women's sportswear manufacturing company for many years in Getty Square. Helen's greatest joy, however, was her family. She was the beloved mother of four children: the late Vincent (Janet) Carnicelli, Rosemary (Paul) Iacobucci, Laura (Vincent) Ciancio, and Ralph Carnicelli. She was the cherished grandmother 11 grandchildren, Elisa (Chris) Sozio, Nicholas Carnicelli, Jenna (Jason) Mattoes, Vincent Iacobucci, Veronica (Neil) Hancock, Angelica Iacobucci, Alexandra (Paul) Theodosis, Raymond (Mary) Moen, Kelly Moen, Michelle Moen(Driton), and Michael (Amanda) Carnicelli. Helen's love and warmth extended to her 16 great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness in her later years. An avid reader and devoted fan of word search puzzles, Helen found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her sharp mind, witty humor, and loving heart will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.
