Joseph C. Tirinato 

                                          October 28, 1937 -August 15, 2025

Joseph C. Tirinato passed away on August 15 at his home at the Club at Briarcliff Manor, Briarcliff Manor, New York.  He was predeceased by his mother Fanny Martino Tirinato, his father Martin Tirinato, his wife Gail Mueller Tirinato and his long time friend and companion Francine Holley.

He is survived by his loving family members Joseph Jason (JJ) Tirinato (Lauren) of Conway, SC; sister  Anne Marie and brother-in-law William Ranczuch of Rochester, NY; niece Ashleigh and husband Kevin McShane of Holliston, MA; great nephew Owen McShane and great niece Brenna McShane; several Meggesto cousins; and life long friends Hope and Dick Mancini of Syracuse, NY and many friends.

Joseph was born in Syracuse, NY and was a graduate of the Christian Brother’s Academy where he was an AllStar member of the football team. He earned his college degree in Political Science from Syracuse University where he was a member of the SU football team. 

In 1963, after a brief time attending law school in New York City, Joe began a long and successful career when he joined the ABC Television Network as an account executive.  From there he moved on to ABC Film, United Artists and Paramount Distribution, eventually he returned to ABC Network in Chicago. He spent 10 years at MGM/UA Worldwide first as Vice President  of Television Distribution and eventually becoming President of MGM/UA Worldwide  TV and Movie Distribution.  His 29 years of experience  led him back to New York to become Senior VP of Sales and Marketing at the Television Bureau (TVB) until his retirement.  He was a long time member of the Bel-Air Country Club in Los Angeles, CA and Whippoorwill Country Club in Armonk, NY.

A funeral mass in celebration of Joseph’s life will be held on Friday August 22, at 11:30 am at
