Sarah L. Haack Obituary

Sarah L. Haack, a long time resident of Yonkers, NY, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025. She previously resided in the Bronx, NY and enjoyed her summers in Chester, CT.


 


Sarah was born in New York City on November 16, 1925, to Anna Siegel Lieboff and Samuel Lieboff. She was raised in Manhattan and married Raymond J. Haack on April 23, 1950. Sarah and Ray were married 62 years when he passed on November 30, 2012. They were blessed by God with 6 children, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a 12th great grandchild expected in January 2026:

Sarah was a devoted mother, wife, and homemaker who raised 6 children. She was very involved and supportive of her community through volunteer work at local churches and schools. Sarah and her husband, Ray, were involved in many church activities at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Yonkers, NY for over 30 years.


 


Sarah is now celebrating a reunion with her predeceased husband, sisters, brother, parents, family, and many friends.


 


A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle church in Yonkers, NY on Saturday, August 16, 2025 and burial followed at Fountain Hill Cemetery in Deep River, CT.
