Joann M. Kelly, 80, of Yonkers passed away Tuesday morning December 23rd at Calgary Hospital. Born April 19th 1945 in the Bronx to Eliza (nee Kraus) and Joseph Bodzak. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael "Colin" Kelly (d. 6/16/2016) and is survived by her two Sons, Thomas and Michael, her Grandson Angelo, her Sister Loretta Holt, as well as many Nieces and Nephews, and her cherished friend Janice.
JoAnn was a devoted Mother and Grandmother. A thorough Homemaker, she enjoyed gardening and excelled at many meticulous krafts and hobbies as well as various large household projects. She was organized, timely, and resourceful. When things needed to be done, Mom had dominion over the tools and supplies (after all, they were "her tools and supplies"). She knew where they were, and would notice whenever they were moved. She was also an excellent driver and navigator. Coordinated, confident and conscientious. In essence, Mom could swing a hammer, throw a good punch, and often "hit a nail right on its head" —things a Son would notice.
To many, she was a beacon of stability, a selfless restorer of confidence, and a discreetly generous friend to those in need. She enjoyed her privacy and confidence and would keep yours safe to give back —only better than it was found.
