Robert (Bob) George Hart, a devoted family man and respected dentist, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 92.
Born to Mary Duffy and George Hart in 1933, Bob grew up in Brooklyn and Hempstead, New York. His love of baseball and athletic talent earned him a scholarship to Niagara University, and he later graduated from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. A proud American, Bob honorably served in the United States Army, achieving the rank of Captain before his discharge in June of 1967.
Following his military service, Bob established his private dental practice in Mt. Kisco, New York, where he served a broad cross-section of patients, from notable celebrities to recent immigrants. A consummate professional, he provided the highest level of attention and care to each and every one of his patients for more than 40 years.
It was during his time at Columbia that Bob met the love of his life Patricia (Pat) Dee O'Hora, who served as the head Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Columbia's Presbyterian Hospital. The two married on December 27, 1958, and together they raised their three children in Bedford, New York.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pat. He is survived by his children, Eileen Hart, Amy Hart Clyne (Tim), and John Hart; and his cherished grandchildren, Mariel Freyre, Christian Freyre, Kathryn Clyne Shannon (Kevin), Megan Clyne, and Peter Clyne.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday, January 5, 2026, at St. Timothy Chapel, 1034 North Street, Greenwich, CT, followed by burial at the Middle Patent Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests donations to the Regional Hospice in Danbury, CT.
