Cristina Carozza Liberatore, age 95, of Dobbs Ferry, New York, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026.

Cristina was born on February 14, 1930, in Palena, in the Abruzzo region of Italy, to Carolina Rapa Carozza and Francesco Carozza. She later moved to the United States, settling in Yonkers, New York, where she built her home and raised her family with devotion and care.

She married Gaetano Liberatore on December 7, 1957 and together they shared a life rooted in family, commitment, and love.

Cristina was preceded in death by her husband, Gaetano Liberatore as well as her brothers Alfonso Carozza, Vincenzo Carozza (Mary), and Ilmo Carozza (Fernanda).

She is survived by her siblings Roberto Carozza (Maria Louisa), Fernando Carozza (Diana), Anna Friscioni (Giacinto), Clara Cacace (Pietro), Alfonso Carozza (Patricia), and Anthony Carozza.

Cristina was a loving mother to three children: Elvera Apicella; Josephine Kelley (husband, Bruce Kelley); Alfonso Liberatore (wife, Diane Liberatore). She was deeply nurturing, warm, and selfless, a mother with a generous spirit and an open heart who always put her family first.

She was a devoted and adoring Nana to Jennifer Petruccelli (husband, Jason Petruccelli) and Jessica Apicella. Cristina shared a special, loving bond with her granddaughters, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.

Cristina lived a life defined by love, generosity, and quiet strength. Her warm heart and nurturing spirit will live on through the family she cherished.
