Viktor Kalaj passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2026. He was a cherished son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend to his Father Mark his mother Mrija, his sister Tina, his uncle Doda, Doda’s wife Nena, son Martin, daughter Lindita, many cousins in a large extended family and his best friend Yefim.
Viktor was born in the Bronx and attended Saint Philip Neri school where he was an alter server from the fourth grade through junior high school. He was devoted to God and prayer and religious service was a regular part of his life..
Viktor loved math and science and attended and graduated from Brooklyn Tech high school. He received his bachelors of science degree in mathematics at Hunter College.
Viktor loved to discuss religion, history, geography, and mathematics with his family and friends. He loved coffee, especially espresso, and going out for coffee with his family was a favorite activity multiple times a week. He will be remembered by those who knew him as intelligent, patient, and loving, and will never be forgotten.
