John M. Lipscomb Sr. Obituary

John Marshall Waverly Lipscomb, Sr., was born on March 31, 1944, in Eckman, West Virginia, to the late Joseph Irving Lipscomb, Sr. and Annie Lee Lipscomb (Shade). Affectionately known as "Popcorn," he passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the age of 81.

John and Milagros D. Lipscomb, known as Mimi, shared a remarkable journey together that spanned 41 wonderful years. They united in marriage on March 22, 1984, embarking on a partnership filled with cherished memories, and companionship. The milestones they celebrated together and the everyday moments they shared have become treasured memories. John is no longer by Mimi's side, but the love and devotion they shared will live on in Mimi's heart. Happy Anniversary, Honey Bun - You will be missed!

Popcorn retired as a Supervisor with Emerson Middle School and other locations throughout the Yonkers, New York area. John took great pride in his work and genuinely enjoyed connecting with others.

Known for his warm personality and sense of humor, Popcorn was often called "Mr. Personality." His presence brought laughter, and he was always willing to support others whenever possible. He faced life's challenges with resilience and remained devoted to his family, cherishing his weekly calls with his brother from another mother, Fred Williams. Overall, just a great guy!

As you prepare for your next journey, we want you to know that your brothers and sisters will miss you deeply. The family memories will forever be with us. The bonds we shared will forever remain in our hearts, and your presence will be profoundly missed. Your Brothers & Sisters
