Kenneth G. Dolph Obituary
Kenneth George Dolph
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather
March 19th, 1938 - March 6th, 2026, he was 87
Ken was born on March 19th,1938 in Rye NY and passed on March 6th, 2026, at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, NY. Ken and his sister, Theresa were raised by their parents Kenneth and Mary Dolph in Rye. He attended the Resurrection Grammar School, and graduated Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, NY. Ken spent time as a caddie at the golf club, loved fishing in Long Island Sound and honing his poker skills.
Ken enlisted in the army in July 1957. Before deploying to Germany, he married the love of his life, Patrica Ouellette on October 5, 1957. He served from 1957 to 1960. He worked with the First Mobile Missile Group in Germany and helped deploy the Redstone Missile. It was the army's first large-scale ballistic missile. He was proud to be part of that team and was proud to have served his country.
Ken and Pat initially lived in Rye, NY. In 1963 they moved to Bedford Hills, NY where they raised their three children, Scott, Deborah and Stephen.
Kenneth worked at Kensico in Mt Kisco, NY and then as a painter at Heritage Hills in Somers, NY. He often held side jobs to provide for his family, instilling a strong work ethic in his children.
Ken's favorite pastimes were family gatherings, a good BBQ, playing with the grandchildren and a good game of poker. He loved poker and shared that passion with his children, grandchildren and now even his great-grandchildren play, learning from their GG. He was always excited for an outing to the casino; any casino would do as long as they had a poker room.
Ken was truly a family man, always enjoying a weekend with his parents, Pat's parents and his sister Terry's family and more recently with his children's families and their children's families and his niece and nephew.
Ken and Pat moved to Woodcrest Village Condominium in Mt Kisco, NY in 2005. Ken served on the condo board for 10 years. He enjoyed the friends they made there, sitting by the pool, going to events, parties and BBQs at the clubhouse, and just hanging out with his buddies.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 68 years, Patricia. His three children, Scott (Teddi) Dolph, Deborah (Larry) Walker, Stephen (Annie) Dolph, 6 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren plus 7 great grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren, his loving sister Theresa Chiola, his niece Laurie, his nephew PJ and his grandniece and grandnephew.
