Anthony Suppa

July 15, 1935-February 15, 2026

Anthony Suppa of Yonkers, NY passed away at the age of 90 on February15, 2026 at his home

surrounded by his family. Mr. Suppa was cremated under the direction of the Sinatra Funeral

Home. No services are planned.

Anthony was born in 1935 in Newark, NJ to the late Frank and late Lena Perna.

He was raised in Newark NJ by his late mother Lena and his late father Vincent Perna Sr.

Anthony was a member of SMART Local 137 and worked as a Welder, Sign Fabricator and

Boom operator for Service Sign Erectors located in NYC before retiring in 1997. Mr. Suppa also

had the pleasure through his employment with Service Sign Erectors to decorating for

Christmas the stores on 5th Ave in NYC. In 2021 he was awarded his Unions 50 year service

pin for being a member of SMART Local 137 in good standing.

Anthony helped St. Lucy's Church in Newark, NJ where he was born and raised along with

other men he grew up with in the First Ward and his youngest son Vinny to bring back the

Feast of the Church's Patron Saint St. Gerard, helping by installing street decorations and

lighting from 1988-1999.

Anthony is survived by his wife beloved Jacqueline (Jackie) and his amazing children:

His beautiful daughter Maria and her husband Vincent Girardi of Roseland, NJ.

Gabriella and her husband James Panzarino also from Fairfield, NJ

Michael Girardi from Roseland, NJ

George Suppa and Anthony Suppa of Boonton, NJ

His pride and joy his great-granddaughter:

His beloved brothers' Frank Suppa and sister-in-law Kathy of Lakewood, NJ

Vincent Perna and his wife Joann of Newark, NJ

As well as many nieces and nephews.

Anthony and his wife loved vacationing in Aruba and taking their children and grand-children to

Disney World in Florida, spoiling them all.

Anthony is pre-deceased by his mother Lena Perna his fathers' Vincent Perna Sr. and

Frank Suppa and his brother Albert Suppa.
