Gabriel DeBraz, 86, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2026. Born in Madeira, Portugal, Gabriel carried his roots with him throughout his life, eventually making his home in Mount Vernon and Yonkers, New York, where he built a life filled with family, laughter, and lasting memories.

Gabriel was a man known for his big personality and unforgettable sense of humor. He had a natural ability to light up any room he entered, bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. His warmth, wit, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his beloved son, Gabriel, his daughter-in-law, Samantha, and his cherished grandchildren, Chelsea, Nicholas, Zachary, Gianni and granddog and best bud Apollo. His love for his family was evident in everything he did, and he took great pride in watching his family grow.

Gabriel leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and strong family bonds. Though he may be gone, the joy he brought into the lives of others will never be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and all who knew and loved him.
