Bishara Hashim Obituary
Bishara K. Hashim, a resident of Yonkers, New York, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, Good Friday, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Damour, Lebanon, on August 14, 1933, he was the son of the late Khattar and Salma Hashim.
A master of all trades and a self-made businessman, Bishara operated his own mechanical shop for many years. He was defined by his unwavering faith and incredible work ethic. More than his professional success, he was a pillar of strength who measured his life through the depth of his relationships. Known for his legendary stories of Lebanon, his bountiful garden, infectious humor, and "open-door" kindness, he leaves behind a lasting legacy.
Bishara is survived by his beloved wife, Nadia Hashim; his children, Rema Hashim (John Anzalone), Laurette Hashim Basciano (Paul Basciano), and Joseph Hashim; and his cherished grandchildren, Nahla Basciano, Lucas and Mason Anzalone, and Henry and Helena Hashim. He also leaves behind many dear siblings, nieces and nephews.
Forever in our hearts.
