Arthur Pagano Jr. Obituary

Arthur Pagano Jr, born on February 22, 1929, in Yonkers, NY, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2026. Arthur was surrounded by his loving family in his home of 63 years, in Yonkers, NY, after a life defined by warmth, resilience, and deep devotion to family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife of 75 years, Connie, and their four children: Jeff, Deborah and her husband, Bob, Richard and his wife, Laura, and Michelle and her husband, Tom. He was a proud grandfather to Matthew, Allison, Christine and her husband, Rick; Gregory and his wife, Beth; Joseph and his wife, Amanda; Emily, Jena, Robert, Brianna, and Jillian, and great-grandfather to Rickey Arthur, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Antionette, and his sister, Madeline.


Arthur, who went by Otto to friends and family, was a master of all trades and self-made businessman. Arthur started his company, Arthur Pagano Jr. Plumbing and Heating, which he ran for over five decades. His accomplishments are many and include serving as Past President of the Yonkers Master Plumbers Association, Past Chairman of the Yonkers Plumbing Board of Examiners, Past President of Westchester Master Plumbers Steam Fitters Association, Past Chairmen of the Promotion Fund Mechanical Contractors Association, Past Zone Director for New York State Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Association, and Past Chairman of Westchester County Plumbing Board of Examiners. He was also a Past Member of County Westchester Board Health, Past Vice Chairman Yonkers Private Industry Council, Past Co Chair Westchester Summer Jobs for Youth, Past President Yonkers Kiwanis, Past Treasurer Kiwanis Westchester- Bronx South Division, and Past Board Director of the Italian American Unity Club.


After semi-retiring he built his dream summer home on the coast of the Long Island Sound in Clinton, Connecticut, where his family enjoyed decades of memories and fun. His passionate hobby was creating stained glass masterpieces, which he was self-taught in. He also loved cooking for his family, fishing, and was an avid sports fan. He was also a master entertainer, Arthur loved to host wonderful, memorable parties.


Arthur lived a life worth remembering. Though we will grieve his absence deeply, we celebrate a life beautifully lived, a legacy firmly planted, and a love that will continue to guide us today, tomorrow, and for the generations to come.
