Jennie Sibrizzi, born Giacomina Soave on April 14, 1927, in the Bronx, New York, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the cherished daughter of Chiara and Giuseppe Soave. Born and raised in the Bronx, Jennie built her life there and lovingly raised her own children in the same community she always called home.

Jennie was one of five children and was predeceased by her beloved siblings, Rocco (Rocky), Mary, Dina, and Leonard (Lenny). She carried their memory with her throughout her life and remained deeply devoted to her family.

At the age of 20, Jennie married Angelo Sibrizzi on February 8, 1947—a day made unforgettable by the historic Blizzard of 1947, which added a remarkable story to the beginning of their life together.

Jennie and Angelo raised five wonderful children: Jack (Diane), Joseph (Frances), Steve (Lillian), Cathy (Gerald), and Leonard (Renee). She was a devoted grandmother to her ten grandchildren—Janine, Jack, Jessica, Michelle, Christopher, Charisse, Dean, Adriana, Angelo, and Alyssa—and a proud great-grandmother to twenty-one great-grandchildren. She took immense pride in her family and found her greatest joy in her time spent with them. Jennie was predeceased by her sons, Jack and Steve, both of whom she loved and missed dearly.

Jennie was a beautiful woman with an incredible smile, a bright spirit, and a fierce personality, known as one of the kindest people to all who knew her. She loved her family more than anything in the world and cherished every moment spent together. An incredible cook, she welcomed family and friends into her home each and every Sunday, creating lasting memories around her table. She also had a love for dancing, a joy that reflected her vibrant nature.

Jennie will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she held so dear.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
