John H. Sullivan Obituary
It just got a little rowdier up top — and a lot more Irish!
John Horan Sullivan died at home June 4, 2026. At the time
of his death he was on his way up from never. John was born on
November 30, 1958 in Hoboken, New Jersey to the late Martha A.
and Michael J. Sullivan. John's sister Jennie Ann Sullivan departed
this world in 2002. He is survived by his loving wife Cindy;
brother's Michael, Thomas, Peter Dusenberry; and Faithful Friends.
John weathered the storm at SUNY Buffalo in '77 where his favorite subject was Rugby
and where he formed lifelong friendships through the game. John was an accomplished childcare
worker who worked with some of New York State's most troubled teenagers at Lincoln
Hall and Woodfield Cottage. For his second act, John used his landscaping skills to make the
world a more beautiful place
And never forget, John was a 9/11 first responder who helped to quench the thirst of Dusty
Firemen and participated in rescuing a Port-Authority Policemen on the Pile the next morning.
John will be most remembered for his love of children and his deep commitment to
his family and friends. He was courageous, hardworking, and funny. He helped his loved ones
overcome adversity in their own lives. John saw to it that the doors of his heart and home were
always open to those in trouble. He will be profoundly missed
A wake for John will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at
