Robert G. Lockwood Obituary
Robert “Rob” Lockwood , 67, of Yonkers, New York, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply.
Rob was the epitome of unconditional love. A devoted husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, godfather, and friend, he lived his life showing up for the people he cared about. He didn’t need grand gestures—his love was found in his constant presence, steady support, and the way he made everyone around him feel valued and cared for.
For 42 years, Rob shared a loving marriage with his wife and best friend, Laurie. Together they built a family that was the center of his world. He was a proud father to Justin and Taylor and treated Erica and John as his own. Becoming “Papa” to Ledger and Emilia brought him immeasurable joy. Whether cheering from the sidelines at Ledger’s games, enjoying family vacations, gathering for breakfast, or simply spending time together, those were the moments he treasured most.
Rob enjoyed beach vacations, time outdoors, and dreaming about future RV adventures with Laurie. He faithfully walked his beloved dog, Tucker, every day and found happiness in life’s simple routines. But more than anything, he loved being with his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Laurie; his son Justin Lockwood, daughter-in-law Erica Lockwood, and grandson Ledger; his daughter Taylor Corbellini, son-in-law John Corbellini, and granddaughter Emilia; his sisters Maureen Lockwood, Irene Pisco, and Roseanne Lockwood; and many loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins who were like siblings, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Mary Lockwood.
Rob’s absence leaves an immeasurable void, but the love he gave so freely remains with all who knew him. His greatest legacy is the family he cherished and the example he set through a life defined by kindness, loyalty, and unconditional love.
