Bart Panessa, a lifetime Yonkers resident died peacefully on June 13, 2015 at the age of 79. Bart was a graduate of Iona Prep and Fairfield University and served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963. For 10 years until his retirement he was the road supervisor for Empress Ambulance Corp. Bart was a dedicated member of the Armando Rauso Amvets Post and was an avid NY sports fan. He also was an active parishioner of Christ the King Church, where he was an usher and served on the County Fair and Finance committees. Beloved husband of Sharon (O'Rourke) Panessa. Devoted father of Maria Lisanti, Bart Panessa Jr. and Laura Flood. Dear brother of Frank (Eleanor) Panessa and Andrew (Cyndi) Panessa. Cherished grandfather of Alyssa and Anthony Lisanti. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral mass at Christ the King Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by interment at St. Mary Cemetery
