Obituary of Arthur S. "Scott" McKinney

Please share a memory of Arthur to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arthur "Scott" McKinney, age 65, of Stormville, NY, died at home Saturday, December 5, after an 8 month battle against lung cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Edna, and he is survived by his devoted wife, Karen, and loving daughter, Jennifer and her husband Michael. Scott was a kind, caring human being, a true Southern gentleman. He enjoyed all of his trips to the South, the source of much of the music that meant so much to him. Scott played bass in several bands, ranging from country to blues, but the blues was his passion. He loved going to concerts and collecting guitar picks from his favorite musicians. Friends may call at Oelker-Cox & Sinatra Funeral Home, 262 E. Main St., Mt. Kisco, NY, on Thursday, December 10, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, followed a brief service on Friday, December 11 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Musician's Foundation (musiciansfoundation.org) or Hudson Valley Hospice (hvhospice.org).
