Deirdre Abelha-Yapchanyk, age 54, of Long Valley, NJ passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. She was born on September 8, 1961 in New Bedford, MA, the daughter of Albert and Delores (Costa) Abelha. Diedre received her Masters Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and was employed by Bristol, Meyers, Squibb as a Compliance Officer. Beloved wife of Edward Yapchanyk, a long time resident of Yonkers. Loving daughter of Delores Abelha. Also surviving are her four brothers and three sisters all of MA, her brother-in-law Stephen (Barbara) Yapchanyk of Yonkers and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday from 4PM to 8PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday 10:00AM at St. Eugene's Church, 31 Massitoa Road, Yonkers. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-on-Hudson.
