Assunta Renzo, age 71, a long time resident Yonkers died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 surrounded by her family. Assunta was born July 5, 1944 in Acri, Italy the daughter of the late Pietro and Josephine (Lancillotti) Cirino Groccia. Assunta was a genuine person who was devoted to her family and her extended Renzo family. She loved to cook for her family and was loved by many. Beloved wife of Tommaso Renzo. Loving mother of Maria (Victor) Amoretti, Salvatore Renzo and Andre (Danielle) Renzo. Cherished grandmother of Luigi, Julia and Thomas Amoretti and Elianna and Thomas Renzo. Dear sister of Maria, Antonieta, Pasquale and the late Luigi Cirino Groccia. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday from 5PM to 9PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:00 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 5 Strathmore Road, Scarsdale. Entombment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla.
