Joseph L. Occhiogrossi of Cortlandt Manor, NY, passed away on January 15, 2017 at the age of 98. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Josephine, and 3 children: Joseph (Judy) Occhiogrossi; Julia ( David) Brotko; Jerry (Linda) Occhiogrossi; his grandchildren: David(Dawn) Maloney, Jennifer (Amin) Maloney, Kelly (Eric) Caporale, Patricia Occhiogrossi, Robert (Nicole) Occhiogrossi, Jay (Laura) Schechter, Lisa (Anthony) Branca, Karen (Ken) Brice. Joseph is also survived by his great grandchildren: D.J., Joey, A.J., Anthony, Andrew, Eric, Paul, Gianna, Alyssa, Anthony, William, Marietta, Jamie,Joseph, and great great granddaughter Neveah. Joseph is also survived by his sister Mary Ferro Occhiogrossi and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was a WW II veteran, United States Army, serving from 1941 - 1945 in the Pacific under General MacArthur. He was a member of Teamsters Local 456 working for Getty Oil company and Yonkers Contracting. Joseph was a lover of horses, a handyman in his own right, but most especially a family man who set a great example for all. Reposing Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. on Wednesday 1/18, from 3pm-8pm. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, 1/19 at St John the Baptist Church at 10:45am.
