Julia Hyla, age 96, of Yonkers died Friday, June 16, 2017. Julia was born May 2, 1921 in Yonkers, NY the daughter of the late John and Stella (Paluch) Luchkowec. Beloved wife of the late Kasimir Hyla. She is survived by four daughters: Carol Bunning, Regina Morwick, Gail Lupinacci and Joan Rapoli, and two sons: Stanley Hyla and John Hyla and was predeceased by her son, George Hyla. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Friends may call on Monday from 4PM to 8PM at Hastings Funeral Home, Inc., 15 Spring Street, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:00 at St. Anthony's Church Nepera Park, 10 Squire Ave., Yonkers. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Yonkers.
