Virginio "Gene" Altobelli, age 81, of Yonkers died Thursday, August 4, 2011. Gene was born February 9, 1930 in Yonkers, NY the son of the late Peter and Antoinette (DeLaurentis) Altobelli. Gene was the owner of Alto Brothers Trucking Company since 1948. He is survived by his beloved wife Carol (Damiano) Altobelli. Gene was the proud father of three sons: Gene (Catherine), Peter (Diane), and David (Marybeth) Altobelli, and one daughter Debi (Gregory) Frost. He is also survived by his brother Peter (Madeline) Altobelli, and eight grandchildren. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 PM to 9 PM at Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc., 601 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers, NY. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00AM at Fortress Bible Church, 51 North 10th Avenue, Mt Vernon. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, Hartsdale.
