Olena (Macenko) Senkiwsky, 87, died peacefully at home on August 4, 2011. Devoted wife of the late Antin Senkiwsky. Beloved mother of William of the Bronx and Sonia Giandomenico and her husband Edward of Walpole, Massachusetts. Cherished grandmother of Antin, Andrew and Joey Giandomenico. Olena was born in the village of Pulawy, Ukraine, in 1924. She immigrated to the United States in 1950 and settled in Hastings-on-Hudson. She worked for many years at the Anaconda Wire and Cable Company in the Maintenance Department and then as a seamstress at the St. Christopher's School in Dobbs Ferry. She enjoyed cooking and baking Ukrainian treats for her children, grandsons and friends. A devout Christian, Olena was a faithful member of the Ukrainian Assembly of God in Manhattan.
