Castaldo, Lena, 85, a life-long resident of Yonkers, passed away on September 3, 2011. Lena was born in 1926 to the late Domenic and Francesca (Prosperi) Tancredi. Lena worked for Phelps Dodge during WWII. She won the 1st Mother and Daughter award at AT&T for assisting her daughter , Fran, with a Department of State Installation in Rome, Italy for the President of the U.S.A. Lena was an incredibly caring, loving , sharing person and the best cook in Yonkers. She is survived by her loving husband Patrick of 66 years. Lena is also survived by her four children; Patrick, Linda (Joseph) Fox, Francesca (Dwight) Young, Vincent (Clare) Castaldo, her niece Susan Minozzi Guzzardi and many other nieces and nephews, nine grandchildren; Lyana, Joseph, Linda, Patricia, Patrick, James, Maria-Elena, Keara, Patrick, and two great grandchildren; Vincent and Eric. Friends and family may call at the Sinatra Memorial Home, 601 Yonkers Ave. Yonkers, NY on Wednesday Sept. 7, 2011 from 2-4 &7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday Sept. 8, at 10AM at St. Bartholomew's Church in Yonkers.
